Catching Up

Well, since I have started this blog way later than what I should have I now need to do some catching up.  I think that if I went all the way back to when Greg and I got married this could take forever. So, intead I will start when we had Eleanor.
Eleanor Marie Morris was born on May 8, 2009 at 10:04am 8lbs 11oz and 21in long.  The very next day Greg and I graduated from Texas Tech (Greg walked, I was still in the hospital.)

Eleanor at about 3 months old and just after making a very sudden move from Lubbock to Longview.

4 months old...a water bug already.

Her first Halloween.  My cute little white tiger.  Grrrrr...

This is the beginning of December.  We just barely settled into our new home in Tyler and hve the tree up for Christmas.  The tree was the only thing to make it up this year because we were still so busy trying to move in and get organized.

Eleanor helped Daddy open his present from Mommy before going to Dallas for Christmas.  We didnt want to take Gregs present because it was big and breakable.

After we got back from Christmas we finally had time to take care of all of the leaves that had accumulated while the house was vacant.  Eleanor had a lot of fun but at times almost dissappeared in the huge pile.

Febuary brought a huge snow fall.  Greg and I built a snowman and then shot at it with the bow.  I never would have guessed that the arrows would shoot straight through!

Eleanor wasn't quite one when she outgrew her rear facing car seat and we had to go get her something bigger.  She was so happy to be facing forward from the very beginning.

Eleanor's first Easter!!!

Our neighbors have blue bonnets growing in their front yard so, I had to go get a picture of Eleanor in them.  There were several bees buzzing around so I hurried and took a few pictures but I didn't want Ella to get stung.

YAY!!!  Happy Birthday Eleanor!  We had a big party and everyone came.  It was so nice to have most of my family here and Eleanor had so much fun.  She loved her cake which I made (my first cake decorating attempt)

Ella and Maggie cleaning the cake off in the pool.

We bought Eleanor a little rocking chair and she got lots and lots of toys from everyone else.

In June 2010 Ginger got attacked by our neighbors dog.  It was really scary and we had to rush her to the emergency clinic but she wasn't hurt as bad as what we thought.  We were told not to bandage her wound because it needed to drain so I ended up cleaning up blood in our house for a couple weeks.

This was Eleanors second 4th of July but the first one she could really enjoy.  She liked seeing the fireworks but wasnt too sure about the sparklers.

In August our ward had a party at the lake.  They had one of those big bouncy toys.  I didnt think that Eleanor was quite old enough to really have fun in it but it turns out I was wrong.  She laso had fun playing in the lake but really hated having to put on a life jacket.

We played in out pool all summer.  It gets so hot here and humid that you almost need a pool to cool off in.  However, if you waited till the afternoon to go swimming the water would be warm so it was best in the morning and evenings.

I decided that Eleanor was old enough to try out finger painting.  It was a huge mess to clean up but super fun to watch.  I think this was Septemberish.

The fair came to town in September and they had all sorts of animals and food and other things to have fun with.  This astronaut suit was one of Ella's favorites.

October brought a new discovery for Eleanor. She figured out that she is capable of climbing up and going down the slide by herself.  She love love loves going to the playground!

I started watching one of my friends two boys recently, Tanner and Jerrell.  Eleanor loves playing with them, especially with Jerrell.  Before we burnt our leaves this year the kids had several days of raking up piles to play in.

Christmas came once again!  This year was a lot of fun with Eleanor.  It took her two days to open all of her presents because after opening one she would play with it forever before opening another.  Santa brought her a rocking horse and her Great Grandma Eleanor got her a little kitchen.

On December 28, 2010 Eliza Ruth Morris was born.  She was born at 11:23 am weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and was 19 1/4 in.

Eleanor was very happy to see Mommy when she came to visit at the hospital but she was also happy to see her new baby sister!

Grandma Jarnagin bought Eleanor and Eliza matching dresses.  Eleanor is so excited to get to hold Eliza.  She is constantly asking to hold her and gives her lots and lots of big sister kisses.  She also likes to try and share her toys.  I imagine that will change once Eliza actually starts taking the toys.
